A System At Its Best
By Evan Miester
Humanity, since the beginning of its history, as always tried to make things simpler for itself. And when I say simpilier I mean if anything more time for pleasurable and luxurious things like TV sets, drugs, etc., basically anything that gives us time to feel strong. It doesn't have to be a thing, it could be a feeling of pride like raising a family, so we can feel stronger. Nowadays nobody really wants to raise and love a family, and almost everyone works their ass off, just so they can have some pleasure every now and then. What have we become, or better yet what will we become. People work and work, for what ever reason, whether the person was taught to enjoy (a type of) working or was taught that's the only way the world works or want their children to have the best or even working now seems better then what they have had or think what they could have had before, we go through our life doing this and not knowing what we're doing or even why and what in the end do we achieve. What we achieve is stability. Not a soul, not a Utopia, but stability. What I mean by stability I mean not having to worry for a partner or a friend or an innocent child to die and disappear off this Earth forever. Not being a nervous wreck where ever you go because your feel smothered by the fact your child, your entire world has good chance that it may die, even though many people are becoming nervous wrecks because they are being smothered. It doesn't have to be your child but you get the idea. Our ancestors built the world we live in now not because they wanted to create the oppressive governments many people have had to lived throughout the generations but because our ancestors didn't want to feel the most horrible feelings in the world like guilt and remorse about part of their world dying but feel better feelings like happiness and just knowing that their world will most likely be intact and is getting the best it deserve. And now just look of what we are. What we are and will become. We all want a Utopia but it will never happen, not because their'll always be people that won't let the world be perfect but because they'll be people that want the world to be perfect but in their own image. We all have this idea of a perfect society but it'll never be and was because human beings can only handle so much and often overlook the types of chaos of us being individuals, each growing up with different opinions and illusions of how the world works. For those that feel oppressed a Utopia for them would be for their oppressor to be oppressed thus making the former oppressor feel oppressed by the once-oppressed, guaranteeing the former oppressor's Utopia to be where the new oppressor is to be oppressed. These messes always seem to start when someone(s) feels oppressed but the oppressor may not feel they are oppressing anything or think they are oppressing something for either's own good. It is important to note that the chaos that we're born with is what makes us alive. It's what pushes us and keeps us awake. For without it we would be living in a world not worth living in. The world is not a perfect place but then again what is. Even a God must have its limits. It is undeniable that the world is gaining more and more momentum on hill of hypocrisy, lies, and chaos just waiting to crash and shatter, but the question is not necessarily when and how it crashes but the question is will you still be their help pick up the shattered remains and make something better then our ancestors that helped shaped them generations and generations ago. Maybe not. Or maybe so.
